Hey there! I am McKenzie Sherman.

I've never been one to write about myself, so buckle up y'all!

So how did I become a photographer? From a young age, I loved being behind the camera. Finding the beauty in everyday things is something I have always strived to do, and I feel that transpires through my photos. In high school, on Friday nights, I could be seen on the sidelines of football games trying my best to get the perfect shot. I was also involved with the yearbook and took many pictures for the Heritage High School Highlights. With this, I began dragging friends to a park or driving them to the mountains to be my models, and since then, I have grown into the small business that I am!

A University of Tennessee, Knoxville graduate, photography was a focal point for me while an undergrad for a degree in Journalism and Electronic Media- with hopes to become a sports journalist. I had the opportunity to cover many sporting events while working for the student-led university paper, The Daily Beacon, and even had some photos produced in print as well! Along with my journalism degree, I obtained a master's degree in education and now teach A/V Broadcasting & Production at Heritage High School. When I am not teaching I can be found coaching softball at Heritage High School.

I love what I do and I love meeting new people! Photography is one of the many ways I feel I can stay connected to my community all while having some fun. Outside of photography, I enjoy spending my time coaching softball, spending time with my family and pets- Boomer and Riggins, and going on adventures with my boyfriend who is DETERMINED to be my business partner one day.

I am so excited to chat with you about all your photography needs and want YOU to know that I will do everything in my power to give you exactly what you are looking for.
